He was a former collegiate head coach at Immaculata University and Wilmington (DE) University and also served as an assistant coach at West Chester University.

Rooney also was the Emmaus Girls Soccer Head Coach for 10 seasons, holding a 159-53-13 record.  He has served as a high school head coach for 17 seasons total, seeing more than 150+ players placed into college programs.  He has coached two PA High School Players of the Year, 10 regional all-Americans and more than 25 All-State players at the HS and club level.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Rob Rooney is eager to advance the goals of the Lehigh Valley Tempest by providing more opportunity for women’s soccer in the Lehigh Valley.
